We found Amy after our previous cat sitter retired. We have been using Amy for quite some time now, even before she started Gato del Sol. Our three cats just love having Amy take care of them. She does all the normal pet sitter things, and she takes great care in making sure each one of them gets attention and play time. The cats almost seem disappointed when we come home, because they know that it will be a while before she comes back to tend to them. My wife and I are very particular about who we will trust with our cats and our house, and we have not the least bit of worrying knowing Amy is here looking after both.

We met Amy through her brochure that was left at the Ponte Vedra Animal Hospital. The brochure was impressive but more so to me was her biography. Amy was an airline pilot and having worked alongside pilots I know how precise and given to going by the book they are. Corners are never cut. Since my husband and I regard our pets as our perpetual two year old children, we are very concerned as to who took care of them when we were out of town.

The “kids”, Blue, age 6 and Killian, age 13, love Amy. She is extremely gentle with them and loving. Blue can be a handful at times but Amy uses the same discipline that she approaches everything else in regard to her charges, soft and caring.

Our oldest dog, Killy, had an emergency the last time we were out of town and I am so very grateful that it was Amy that was taking care of the girls. She recognized a problem immediately, called us and made sure it was okay that she brought Killy to the hospital. Amy just knew Killy was not feeling well which is never easy to determine. Killy spent three days in the hospital with a major ear infection that threatened to rupture. She visited Killy every day and called the hospital at other times during the day checking on her progress, in between taking care of Blue with walks and cuddles and feeding our lovebird, Sami

We are so very grateful to have found Amy. We go out of town frequently and even when we are gone just for the day, Amy is here taking care of all our kids. She is a superb caregiver and I sometimes think I wouldn’t mind her taking care of me too!
